I'm looking around for computer wargames that don't use hexes, or just what people have seen instead. For example I've played a real-time ww2 game (Firefight) where unit movement and range are shown with arrows, artillery targets with circles, etcetera. I've done some Googling but haven't seen any good discussions of this, any ideas? Are there any computer turn-based games that don't use a grid of some kind?

Best and only turn-based non-grid strategy game is atwar-game.

But beware, there are many trolls and bullies, they send you threat messages, ruin your games and cheat in wars. Mods doesnt help as they are group of friends who just want power to mute and ban whoever they want.

The truth is only point of view. It all depends on your point of view. Try to get a better understanding of things before you make your judgement.
