Hi, we are well aware that terrain could have significant impact on combat tactics and battle outcome.

We are currently implementing that in terms of various bonuses and penalties.

Feel free to post your recommendation on the topic like: X type of terrain should cause this effect on the units…

As usual all directions given by the community will be strongly considered.

Well, bogs would hinder movement and would be an open target for any close unit.


Roads would increase unit speed but leave units in the open


Mountains would decrease speed, increase attrition but would be an incredibly good defense point


Open plains would allow mass movement of units


Forests would decrease sight and decrease unit speed but will allow units to camouflage themselves (within reason) if still or in defence


Cliffs would allow units to jump off and wouldn't allow the enemy to have the honourabru to kill them

Parker is leaning to more than just defense bonus, but also suggest impact on stealth and visibility.

Which is quite nice. I support that both hands!

IDK about the clifs jumps as War Cabinet is working with bigger formations :)
