I was just looking at the list of weapons that will be available in the game. The two houses were at one time a unity till they divide. Would they have had different weapon types? One side with NATO and the other with Warsaw Pact. Normally a country has one type, due to contracts and ammunitions.

It is difficult to mix various ammunitions with NATO and WP weapons.

Houses are not going to use weapons from different origin.

Otherwise It will become mess :)

That is just what I was thinking. Will the player get a choice to decide what orign his weapons will be from? A defense budget? Or how is it going to be decided who gets what weapons?

Weapon origin is decided based on what country (faction) you decided to play.

How many units you can equip is based on your military budget, warfare buildings, manpower, officers, etc.

This is what I like to hear. A PROPER strategy game for once!

So from the description we will at one point face a dilema. Where to get money from for a certain weapon platform? I need heavy tanks but can only afford light armour.  I need more infantry but can't afford anything.

Yes, I believe resource constrains and planning should be vital part of war effort and strategy. It's not going to be just battle after battle in countless waves.

In the design we have in place we will try to keep in touch with the reality without sacrificing fun element of a game.

Always have to keep the games more interesting. Sounds like a plan

Hmm, im afraid weapons doesnt get expensive, so i have to collect cash and resources for days and weeks until i enter one battle of 5 minutes. Then again collect money for days.. Please dont make them expensive :(

There would be enough resources to have a decent size army all the time. Still you will lose some units that need to be replaced and also you will want better equipment over the course of the campaign.

So don't worry about that.

Wait, what?

Orange House and Green House were merged in the past?

Yes, they were united.. but you story could be different :)

Anyway no matter what the backstory is it will not effect gameplay elements by any means

Today read about this NATO military exercise:

Didn’t know this was boiling hot during the Cold War. According to some sources it was even more dangerous than Cuban missile crisis.
